Maternity Reflexology

Experience the nurturing touch of Maternity Reflexology, where I've enhanced my expertise through accredited training with Sally Earlam, an AoR accredited course. While I previously possessed the skills to support pregnant clients, I sought deeper insight into the myriad of symptoms and complications often experienced during this sacred journey.

With a passion for guiding women into motherhood, I've witnessed firsthand the profound relief that Reflexology can bring during pregnancy. This specialised course has equipped me to work safely and effectively with clients throughout their maternity journey and up to 3 months postpartum.

Relief for pregnancy related symptoms.

Research studies looking at women with lower back pain and pelvic girdle pain who received 6 weekly treatments showed shorter second stage labour and reduced pain and stress levels. (See below for references).

Do I need to Prepare for Maternal Reflexology?

I will go through a thorough consultation prior to your treatment. This will ensure that the treatment is tailored specifically to your needs, and any symptoms that you may be experiencing. It is important to have one normal reflexology treatment before using specific techniques for labour, so that we know how your body responds to a normal treatment. Although Reflexology does not induce labour, Maternity Reflexologists are trained in techniques which we believe may help to expedite the birth (but only once baby is ready!)
